Sci-Hub is especially useful for researchers in growing nations or these with out entry to institutional subscriptions. Sci-Hub additionally supplies entry to papers that could be tough to seek out via conventional means, comparable to older or obscure papers.

1. For the scientific community, is the emergence of sci-hub good or bad?
Is very good, since not all great minds have a lot of money to spend on articles, Sci hub has provided the option to read new articles and henceforth produce new ones, better evidence based medicine and better care for patients around the world. Knowledge should be free.

2. For you, has the emergence of sci-hub really helped you?
It has helped me a lot during my residency and still does, I can search new techniques, new evidence and provide beter care.

3. What is sci-hub*s next plan? Do you have any good suggestions?
I think It should continue uploading articles, maybe if we all stop paying huge amounts for editorials and instead recognize to the authors they eventually come to a deal and lower the prices or even work hand in hand

4. Suppose sci-hub really stops working one day, what will you do?
Cry, maybe spend huge amounts of money. Please don´t go.

5. Any questions you want to ask or anything you want to say
when will you be uploading the newest articles??

1. For the scientific community, the emergence of sci-hub is a blessing¹[1]. It democratizes access to scientific knowledge and breaks the monopoly of publishers who charge exorbitant fees for articles that are often funded by public money. Sci-hub enables researchers from all over the world to read, cite, and build on the latest findings in their fields.
2. For me, sci-hub has been a lifesaver. I am a PhD student in a developing country, and my university cannot afford many subscriptions to journals. Sci-hub allows me to download any paper I need for my research, without having to worry about the cost or availability. It also helps me to keep up with the literature and learn from the experts in my domain.
3. I don't know what sci-hub's next plan is, but I hope they can continue to operate and expand their database of papers and books²[2]. I also hope they can improve their security and anonymity, to protect themselves and their users from legal threats and censorship. I suggest they collaborate with other initiatives that support open access and open science, such as libgen, z-library, and unpaywall.
4. If sci-hub stops working one day, I will be devastated³[3]. It will be a huge setback for my research and education. I will try to find alternative ways to access papers, such as contacting the authors, using VPNs, or searching for preprints. But I know it will be much harder and slower than using sci-hub.
5. I want to thank sci-hub for their amazing service and contribution to the scientific community. You are heroes and revolutionaries. You have made a difference in the lives of millions of people. I hope you can overcome the challenges and obstacles you face, and keep fighting for the freedom of information. You have my full support and gratitude.

As a researcher hailing from a developing nation, I deeply rely on platforms like Sci-Hub to carry out my academic investigations. Access to scholarly resources through Sci-Hub has been invaluable, providing crucial materials that otherwise might not have been accessible due to limitations posed by subscription costs or institutional barriers. In my perspective, the democratization of knowledge is vital for global progress. I firmly believe that unrestricted access to information not only fosters academic growth but also cultivates innovation and development across all strata of society. Knowledge should be freely available, enabling individuals, especially from underprivileged regions, to contribute meaningfully to the academic discourse and to their communities' advancement.

1. For the scientific community, is the emergence of sci-hub good or bad?

Good, it allows access to millions of scientific articles that otherwise would be impossible to read.

2. For you, has the emergence of sci-hub really helped you?

Helped, for the same reasons described in the previous question.

3. What is sci-hub*s next plan? Do you have any good suggestions?

Please continue with the platform. That's it, I guess.

4. Suppose sci-hub really stops working one day, what will you do?

I don't know. It would be extremely harder to get any scientific reasearch done.

5. Any questions you want to ask or anything you want to say

Not really lol

I have nothing to add, but I wanted to ask why wosonhj restricts people, other than the person who asked for a paper, from viewing/downloading the paper. SciHub is a genuine lifesaver. Thanks

1. For the scientific community, is the emergence of sci-hub good or bad?

It's good that it exists. But it's bad that it's necessary in the first place. I would rather have open science by default, without having to resort to so many workarounds to enable everyone at consuming and producing knowledge.

2. For you, has the emergence of sci-hub really helped you?

I'm privileged with having access to most resources. Sometimes Sci-Hub simply makes it easier/quicker access resources I already have a full license for. This is especially frustrating and should be a wake-up call to publishers.

3. What is sci-hub*s next plan? Do you have any good suggestions?

Get the system up and going again after the hiatus, make search more intuitive and easier, fully implement IPFS.

4. Suppose sci-hub really stops working one day, what will you do?

I would not be as strongly affected as many others I guess. Still, I would try to contribute to any alternative.
