Abstract：Cenobamate is a novel antiepileptic drug developed by SK Life Sciences and approved by the FDA on November 21,2019.The synthetic process of cenobamate was improved in this study.With 2′-chloroacetophenone as the starting material, cenobamate was obtained by bromation, condensation, reduction, addition and hydrolysis reaction.The total yield was 38%(based on 2′-chloroacetophenone) with the purity over 99.9%(HPLC) and ee value of 99.54%.The synthetic conditions were optimized to present a chemo-en...
