Summary:
In vitro study on 3T3-L1 preadipocytes. Patchouli water extract inhibited preadipocyte proliferation, promoted differentiation, increased lipid accumulation and TG, increased PPARγ2 expression, and significantly improved glucose consumption in insulin-resistant adipocytes. Conclusion: potential to improve insulin resistance at the cell level.
